The energy charges in the above rates are based on a wholesale purchased
power cost of 70 mills per KWH. The energy charges may be increased
by the same amount, plus applicable line loss, by which the Co-Operative’s
variable cost of energy exceeds 70 mills per kilowatt hour.

In addition to the above listed rates, MCEC offers a $350 rebate to

Geothermal Heating and Cooling Rebate
MCEC will rebate $125 per ton of installed capacity to members with
geothermal heating and cooling systems. Benefits

Heat Pump Rebate
Members utilizing an electric furnace/air-to-air heat pump, or other
electric heating systems(minimum 5 kw) will receive a rebate of $30
per kw of installed capacity from MCEC. Benefits
